Iran’s New Supreme Leader Calls for Closure of US Military Bases in the Region to Ensure Peace

The newly appointed Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, has called for West Asian nations to urgently close all US military bases on their territories, claiming they threaten regional peace and stability.

Khamenei stated that regional leaders «must have realized by now that the United States’ claims of establishing security and peace are nothing but a lie,» during his address to the Islamic nation.

Iran chose Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader following the assassination of his predecessor and father, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, during a US-Israeli attack on his office in Tehran on February 28, the first day of the war.

Since then, the country has faced indiscriminate bombings from Tel Aviv and Washington, resulting in the deaths of over 1,400 people, with another 18,000 injured.

The Persian nation has retaliated with counteroffensives, including missile and drone strikes on various US military facilities in the region and Israeli territories.

Khamenei declared that all Iranians killed in the US-Israeli bombings are «martyrs» and vowed to seek justice for them and their families over the devastation caused.

He warned, «If they refuse to pay, we will confiscate their assets equivalent in value, and if that is not possible, we will destroy their properties,» as reported by Peoples Dispatch.

Khamenei also urged the Iranian people to maintain national unity and support one another in a time when the country is subjected to «terrorism by the United States and the Israeli regime.»

While assuring all its neighboring countries of Iran’s intention to maintain good relations, Khamenei warned that Iranian attacks against foreign troops and military bases located in some of those countries will continue as a defensive measure.

Iran has denounced that a number of US military bases in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait have been used to launch attacks against it, compelling it to bombard them with drones and missiles.

US Oil Installations Will Be Attacked «With Full Force» by Iran

The commander of the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, Alireza Tangsiri, confirmed this Wednesday that US-linked oil facilities «are now on the same level as US bases» and that «they will be attacked with full force.»

He also warned citizens and workers to «stay away from these facilities,» reported RT.
