The administration of José Antonio Kast is struggling, as indicated by the latest findings from the Agenda Criteria survey, which shows a consecutive drop in his approval ratings for the second week in a row.

According to the poll, conducted between March 31 and April 2, 2026, involving 800 participants through an online panel, the far-right leader has garnered a 42% approval rating, reflecting a one percentage point decrease compared to the previous survey.

Meanwhile, the disapproval rating of his administration stands at 46%, showing minimal change from the 47% reported in the previous poll published on March 29.

Additionally, 12% of respondents indicated they were unsure about their approval or disapproval of the government’s management.

The Agenda Criteria survey also explored public sentiment regarding the government’s handling of the so-called «emergency» situation that the Kast administration has cited to justify a range of controversial measures. These include budget cuts to ministries, a historic rise in fuel prices, limiting free university education to students under 30, increasing financial pressures on borrowers from the State-Guaranteed Credit (CAE), and implementing tax reductions for companies.

The survey results reveal that 38% of participants believe the government’s approach is correct, marking a one percentage point decline compared to the previous report.

Nonetheless, 43% stated that the strategy implemented by Kast and his ministers is incorrect, a statistic that has remained unchanged from previous measurements.
