Under the motto «Urban, Fair, and Essential,» the traditional Chilean wine culture makes its debut in downtown Santiago with Vendimia Lastarria, a festive event that will take place over three days at the Explanada of the GAM Cultural Center.

The event is scheduled for Friday, May 15, Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, 2026, and will feature over 50 wineries from 8 of the country’s major wine-producing valleys.

Supported by an array of organizations including Fair Trade, the Universidad Católica del Maule, and the Museo de Cauquenes, this event will present four distinct experiences that aim to connect visitors with various aspects of Chilean wine culture.

The Gastronomy Area will offer tastings of premium wines from 50 wineries, craft beers, food pairings, and packaged products to take home. Meanwhile, in the Interactive Area, attendees can enjoy an exhibition on the wine industry, engage in discussions with experts, attend presentations from winemakers, and learn about the secrets of wine production in Chile.

Additionally, the Entrepreneurship Area will feature accessories and products related to wine culture, including crafts, regional designs, and traditional charcuterie, among other surprises. Finally, the Scenic Area will host family-friendly sessions with DJ Shool and several DJ sets from «Wines & Vinyls, Musical Pairing» led by Void and The Loft, under the guidance of renowned artist Patricio Salinas, along with contemporary music and jazz groups from the Núcleo de Estudio directed by maestro Cristian Gálvez.

Other parallel activities will include discussions titled «Current Reality of the Chilean Wine Industry» and «Cities and Universities for Fair Trade as Agents of Change» at Casa O de Lastarria, featuring prominent figures from academia and business.

Due to limited availability, interested participants should email [email protected] as soon as possible.

This event presents a unique opportunity to intimately explore the work of over 50 local wineries in a vibrant festive atmosphere aimed at embedding the sounds and flavors of Chile in the heart of Santiago—a cultural syncretism transformed into an experience (and delight) for the senses.
