Original article: Fue lo único que robaron: Sujetos irrumpieron en domicilio de abogado del «Caso Bruma» y sustrajeron notebook con valiosa información judicial
Recent reports have revealed the theft of a computer containing crucial information related to the ‘Bruma’ case, belonging to lawyer Hugo Martínez, who is part of the legal team representing the families of the deceased fishermen involved in this tragedy.
Various national media outlets report that the stolen device holds significant forensic data pertinent to the case against Blumar, the company that owns the industrial vessel «Cobra,» which collided with the fishing boat «Bruma.»
«Last Wednesday, between four and five individuals entered my home with the primary aim of stealing my notebook, which I use for work and contains important details about the Bruma case and an international forensic assessment we are preparing as an office,» the lawyer shared with national press.
In this context, Rafael Poblete, head of the affected legal team, announced, «We have filed a complaint with the Concepción Regional Prosecutor’s Office because our attorney, Hugo Martínez, has been a victim of a highly suspicious incident at his home.»
«A computer, a notebook, was taken from his residence, which stored invaluable evidence related to the forensic investigation we commissioned from an international expert concerning the disappearance of the black box,» detailed Poblete.
Moreover, he stated, «We have requested that the investigation into these events be linked to the inquiry into the Bruma case, as we find this incident extremely serious, and similar to the disappearance of crew member Pablo Sanhueza, which was at one point integrated into this investigation. We want this matter to be pursued to the end.»
We will continue to provide updates on this situation.
