Connections and Photographic Evidence Unravel a Regional Network of Far-Right Contacts Involving Cerimedo, Fujimori, and Kast

Documented images and connections between Argentine operator Fernando Cerimedo, the circles of Peruvian President Keiko Fujimori, Chilean leader José Antonio Kast, and other Latin American right-wing figures, reveal an intricate web of influence in the political landscape of the region.

Carlos Díaz-Rosillo, former Director of Public Policy at the White House during Trump’s first term and head of the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom, who paid US$45,000 to Fujimori for her participation in conferences in Miami, insists on defining himself only as «a friend» of the Peruvian leader, avoiding any characterization that might suggest a role as an advisor or counselor. However, his migration pattern towards Lima contradicts that narrative: from April 2024 to August 2026, he made 15 visits to the country, with a clear escalation from three days in 2024 to 60 days in the ongoing 2026, mostly concentrated during the presidential campaign.

«I have gone to Peru to support my friend and give her advice. And I have said it publicly: when she asked for advice, I gladly gave it, and when she didn’t ask, I still gave it, because I’m very direct and always say what I think», the Cuban-American explained when consulted by the newspaper La República, in an attempt to clear the suspicions regarding his true role within the current Peruvian presidency’s circle.

The web of relationships complicates when the name Fernando Cerimedo comes into play, the far-right political operator who has been detained in Bolivia since August 18, facing four charges, including attempted femicide against his ex-partner Nadia Beller; money laundering; and domestic violence.

Beller not only reported him as responsible for the attack but also revealed that Cerimedo confessed to being linked with Keiko Fujimori and other right-wing presidential candidates in Latin America, using fake accounts and smear campaigns via social media and traditional media against his clients’ rivals.

Photographic evidence is compelling to support the connections and influence of Cerimedo in Latin America. In fact, a photo dated March 22, 2023, in Buenos Aires shows the Argentine consultant alongside Frank Zimmerman and Carlos Díaz-Rosillo, demonstrating that the «friend» of the Peruvian president knew the operator before his first trip to Lima in 2024.

Despite this evidence, Díaz-Rosillo has chosen to downplay any connection. When questioned about his relationship with Cerimedo, the Adam Smith center director stated: «No, I’m not his friend. Do I know Fernando Cerimedo? Of course I know (Cerimedo), but I have no close relationship with him. Not personally, commercially, or academically». However, sources close to La República revealed that Díaz-Rosillo himself privately admitted to friends that he has «coincided three or four times with Cerimedo», a confession that contrasts with his public attempts at distancing.

The photograph obtained by the cited media during a gala held on February 10 at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump’s vacation residence in Palm Beach, Florida, is particularly revealing: Keiko Fujimori is surrounded by Damián Valenzuela—a friend of Díaz-Rosillo—, and Andrés «Andy» Rivas—Cerimedo’s partner and representative in Uruguay for the Adam Smith Center—, while the Argentine consultant is seen conversing with the then-presidential candidate of Peru from behind. This image disproves any attempts to deny the closeness among all actors involved in this regional network.

On the day of the presidential inauguration, July 28, Damián Valenzuela, Carlos Díaz-Rosillo, and Fernando Cerimedo were in Lima, along with another special guest: Javier Negre, Cerimedo’s partner with whom he founded the digital newspaper ‘La Derecha Diario’, a medium that conducted an intense campaign in favor of Fujimori. When asked about Negre, Díaz-Rosillo responded evasively: «I’ve seen him two or three times, always in a social context, but I have no relationship or contact with him».

What makes this network even more suspicious is the recurring pattern in other countries of the region. Cerimedo has been photographed with right-wing candidates or presidents such as Honduran Nasry Asfura, Chilean José Antonio Kast, and Bolivian Rodrigo Paz, who also appear alongside Carlos Díaz-Rosillo.

The Shadow of Cerimedo over Latin American Elections

This coincidence suggests the existence of an organized network of contacts connecting the Argentine operator with key political figures of Latin American conservatism, all linked to the Adam Smith Center and its director.

Cerimedo’s ex-partner, Nadia Beller, has provided crucial insight into the Argentine’s modus operandi, indicating that in each country, he established a team working for him during elections. In the specific case of Peru, records suggest he hired Argentine citizens to organize an office during the presidential elections, evidencing an organized structure beyond mere chance encounters.

According to La República, it is likely that Fernando Cerimedo was not acting independently but rather «was at the service of someone very powerful and financially backed, perhaps under the orders of a secret organization, likely intelligence, specialized in foreign sabotage» and for this reason, «everyone denies it».
