Corruption Allegations Target President Milei’s Sister, Karina Milei, Claims Beller in ANDIS Scandal

Bolivian attorney Nadia Beller, former partner of Fernando Cerimedo, testified before the Argentinian Prosecutor’s Office that the far-right political operator had pointed fingers at Javier Milei’s sister and the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, in a corruption case involving bribes at the National Disability Agency (Andis).

«Cerimedo told me that all the corruption was funneled through the President’s sister (Javier Milei)», Beller stated via videoconference to prosecutor Franco Picardi, while she recovers from an attempted homicide for which the consultant known as the ‘king of bots’ has been charged with alleged attempted femicide, accused of supposedly sending “hitmen” to kill her.

Simultaneously, the prosecuting body has opened three additional cases against the Argentinian advisor, concerning money laundering, domestic violence, and alleged cover-up of narcotics-related flights.

It’s important to recall that the so-called “Andis Case” was triggered by the release of audio recordings from its former head, Diego Spagnuolo, claiming the existence of a bribery network directly linking Karina Milei, the Secretary General of the Presidency and sister of the far-right president.

This case involves alleged bribery and inflated costs in the procurement of medications, implicating officials, intermediaries, and supplier companies.

Beller was summoned as a witness by the Argentinian Prosecutor’s Office, having publicly expressed her willingness to assist the justice system of the southern nation.

Last August, she told Argentinian newspaper La Nación that Cerimedo had made comments about alleged corruption in Argentina and expressed her readiness to present recorded conversations with the political operator that she had taped amid a climate of rising distrust.

Beller recounted that she recorded entire conversations with the political operator discussing the ANDIS plot, where he allegedly revealed that “Milei’s sister (Karina Milei) was involved in the corruption”.

According to Beller, Cerimedo mentioned that his estrangement from the Argentinian president arose because “he had a too rotten environment” and that everything fell apart when the advisor and his wife [Natalia Basil], who worked at Andis, leaked the recordings where Diego Spagnuolo spoke about bribes within that agency.

Illegal Payments to Karina Milei

According to a reconstruction by Página/12 based on the confidential testimony provided by Beller via videoconference with Argentinian prosecutor Franco Picardi, the interrogation focused on the facts she had previously revealed.

The digital outlet reported that her testimony highlighted three main points, whereby Beller stated that Cerimedo described corruption incidents at ANDIS as scandalous and “worse” than other known cases in Bolivia. He also allegedly mentioned illegal payments that would target Karina Milei.

“He told me that the corruption was funneled through the President’s sister”, she reiterated in her account.

As per Página/12, Cerimedo’s ex-partner could not specify payments, amounts, or maneuvers and mentioned knowing everything in a «referential» manner.

Additionally, she purportedly stated that the political advisor spoke of ANDIS due to his ex-wife’s significant position. Regarding Basil, she claimed that she reported what was happening via email, without specifying the recipient, and that her departure came after. She also accused her of having leaked Spagnuolo’s audios where it was claimed that 3% of the invoicing for high-cost and low-incidence medications was for Karina Milei, with another portion for her advisor Eduardo “Lule” Menem.

According to the digital outlet, Beller discussed the leak but not who recorded it. She also mentioned calls with businessman Vicente Quintanal, identified as a link to the Government; both are partners in companies where Basil also appears. The conversations were on a seized iPhone whose password Cerimedo did not provide.

The testimony lasted about 45 minutes. Beller was accompanied by representatives from the Bolivian Public Prosecutor’s Office while, on the Argentinian side, Picardi was present. Her mobile phone is seized in Bolivia in a case against Cerimedo, and a copy will be made for the file regarding the attempted femicide; it could later be sent to Picardi’s office.

Upon leaving the courthouse, Nadia Beller was wearing a bulletproof vest and remarked that she requested it because “there aren’t many protective measures.”

“I don’t know if you are hitmen or journalists”, she expressed ironically to reporters.

“What I did was reaffirm what I had already told the Argentinian press and make available the duplication of my mobile phone, which is being done here in Bolivia, so they can extract anything pertinent to their case,” she emphasized.
