Following a two-hour meeting with the U.S. President in Washington, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated that Trump has no intentions of attacking or invading Cuba.

«If what I heard in the translation was accurate, he said that he does not plan to invade Cuba,» Lula declared during a press conference held at the Brazilian embassy, where he shared details of his talks with Trump.

«I told him that if he needs help addressing the situation in Cuba, I am completely at his disposal,» Lula proposed, deeming Trump’s remarks a «great sign, especially because Cuba wants to engage in dialogue.»

«It’s the longest blockade in human history,» the Brazilian leader also reminded the public.
