Ojo de Pescado and INDH Launch Course on Cultural Rights and Youth Participation in Valparaíso Region

The Ojo de Pescado Cultural Corporation, in partnership with the Valparaíso Regional Headquarters of the National Institute of Human Rights (INDH), is inviting participants to the course «Cultural Rights and Participation of Children and Adolescents,» a four-session program aimed at enhancing the human rights perspective for children in cultural, artistic, educational, and communication fields.

This initiative targets professionals in arts and culture, including cultural managers, artists, educators, journalists, social communicators, public officials, and cultural space agents in the Valparaíso Region who have experience working with children and adolescents.

The program covers the fundamentals of human rights, contemporary concepts of childhood, and the participation of children and adolescents as focal points in cultural, artistic, and educational processes.

Registration

The course will be conducted online on Saturdays, May 16, 23, 30, and June 6, 2026. A total of 60 spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will remain open until Monday, May 4, via www.ojodepescado.cl.

Participants must reside in the Valparaíso Region and have experience in cultural work with children and adolescents.

This course emerges from the experiences developed during the seminar «Children Want Cinema» and connects with the INDH’s regional project «Miradas que transforman,» providing a space to reflect on, question, and reimagine practices from a critical perspective connected to human rights.
