The government of José Antonio Kast has denied any connection with political consultant Fernando Cerimedo, following newly emerged insights into his involvement in political campaigns in Chile.

«The truth is that the Chilean government has no relation to the person you mentioned,» stated Deputy Interior Minister Máximo Pavez in comments to 24 Horas.

The official added that «everything connected with the campaign of the current President has been approved and submitted» and concluded: «There is no relationship that we can acknowledge or explain.»

This assertion establishes a clear position from the Executive, maintaining that there is no connection that the government is willing to recognize or clarify regarding Cerimedo.

However, a persistent documentary element that is difficult to overlook when analyzing the political and communicational fabric surrounding the President exists: La Derecha Diario, an outlet which identifies Fernando Cerimedo as a partner, maintains particularly intense and favorable coverage of José Antonio Kast, first during the 2025 presidential campaign and later during his administration. In a recent article, the outlet explicitly referred to Cerimedo as «partner of La Derecha Diario.»
