The newly appointed Labor and Social Security Secretary of Arica and Parinacota, Nataly Cruz Plaza (featured in the photo), has resigned after only 8 days on the job due to not meeting one of the essential requirements for the position.

A member of the Christian Social Party and appointed by José Antonio Kast’s administration, she lacked the required two years of professional experience since obtaining her degree, as reported by the local newspaper El Morrocotudo.

«In practice, this means failing to meet the minimum required years of experience linked to having graduated from university with the necessary seniority. This point was decisive for her departure, highlighting a gap in the validation process prior to the appointment,» the report from the aforementioned media states.
