As strong waves impact the coastline of the Coquimbo Region, a local resident from Guanaqueros captured footage of Coquimbo Mayor Ali Manouchehri and Deputy Daniel Manouchehri assisting artisanal fishermen in securing their boats.

The images depict both officials actively participating in the relocation of vessels while heavy swells battered the area around the cove.

The video was shared on Instagram by Ignacio Cortés, who commented, «Great support, I was amazed. Those boats are the livelihood for many families.»

For artisanal fishermen, a boat symbolizes much more than a material asset. It is their tool of trade and often the primary source of income for their families.
