Original article: Diputado Cuello acusa a Kast de legitimar el terrorismo de Estado tras rebaja de condena a exagente de la CNI
Deputy Luis Cuello (PC) criticized President José Antonio Kast’s government after it was revealed that the Ministry of Justice reduced the sentence of César Acuña Luengo, a former CNI agent convicted of the kidnapping and disappearance of Alejandro Pinochet Arenas in Valparaíso during the dictatorship, by 19 months.
In this context, Deputy Cuello stated, «The Minister of Justice, at the President’s directive, lowered the sentence of the criminal César Acuña, responsible for the disappearance of Alejandro Pinochet, a 23-year-old activist and social fighter from Valparaíso.»
«It is extremely serious that President José Antonio Kast is legitimizing forced disappearance and state terrorism,» he added.
