Deputy Hassler Calls for Delay in Corporate Tax Cuts to Protect Social Rights Programs
Deputy Irací Hassler (PC) urged President Kast’s government to postpone the planned tax cuts for large corporations in light of the current economic challenges facing the country and the policies being implemented by the administration.
«The Kast administration has proposed a budget characterized by cuts. Today we see how programs such as Yo elijo mi PC, funding for free education, educators, housing, and even animal protection are at risk,» said the legislator.
«In this context,» added Deputy Hassler, «we insist: the government must delay the corporate tax cut for large companies. This measure could provide us with an additional $790 billion and protect programs that ensure social rights.»
«What we need to do is protect families in the face of a poor economic situation, which has been caused by the poor political decisions made by this government,» the parliamentarian asserted.
In this vein, Hassler also commented on the government’s proposed debt of $25 billion: «It is essential to know where this money will go, how it will be spent, will it be for public investment or simply to cover the enormous transfer of resources we are making to the wealthiest in the country following the mega tax reform?», questioned the PC deputy.
