Nadia Beller Accuses Fernando Cerimedo and Confirms Testimony in Illicit Enrichment Case

While recovering from an assassination attempt, attorney Nadia Beller has leveled accusations against Fernando Cerimedo and confirmed her intention to testify in the case initiated by the Bolivian Prosecutor’s Office against the political operator of the far right in Latin America for alleged illicit enrichment.

«I will share what I know and provide evidence,» she asserted in a letter posted on her social media.

Cerimedo was apprehended on Tuesday at Santa Cruz airport just as he was about to board a flight to Buenos Aires, mere hours after the armed attack on his ex-partner, who sustained at least three gunshot wounds.

In connection with these events, the Bolivian Prosecutor’s Office has charged the Argentine consultant with «attempted feminicide,» as he is accused of allegedly sending «hitmen» to kill the attorney.

«I will cooperate with the Prosecutor’s Office. I will provide all evidence and elements within my reach,» she emphasized.

Following a series of searches of properties linked to the political operator in La Paz, police seized over half a million bolivianos (approximately $50,000 at current exchange rates), as well as dollars and euros, documents, and a «mini bot farm.»

Additionally, Cerimedo has been linked to an international money transfer company, raising questions about the origin of his wealth and potential financial irregularities.

These concerns prompted the Prosecutor’s Office to initiate another investigation against him for alleged illicit enrichment, plus a third probe for domestic violence.

In her letter, Nadia Beller provided reasons for her collaboration with the Bolivian authorities.

«I have been summoned as a witness in the investigation against Fernando Cerimedo for alleged illicit enrichment, due to the searches conducted on properties linked to him and the evidence found during those procedures,» she stated.

«I will cooperate with the Prosecutor’s Office. I will provide all evidence and elements within my reach,» she reiterated.

She explained that her willingness to assist in the investigation stems not only from respect for the law but also from a deeply personal reason: «Fernando Cerimedo attempted to take my life. He tried to commit feminicide to silence me and prevent me from reporting prior incidents of violence,» she said.

The attorney noted that her ex-partner sought to prevent her from exposing the knowledge she acquired during their time together regarding irregularities in public administration.

Nadia Beller: «Speaking Does Not Make Me an Accomplice»

«I am not saying this out of spite,» Beller clarified. «I say it because I survived, and after enduring an attack on my life, I have the right to demand that the circumstances surrounding it be clarified,» she maintained, defending her right to speak and rejecting any attempts to associate her with illicit activities: «Speaking does not make me an accomplice,» she stressed in response to narratives suggesting complicity due to her previous silence.

Reflecting on why she did not report earlier, Beller explained: «We were a couple. We lived together. We were expecting a child.»

She revealed that Cerimedo exercised extreme emotional manipulation over her, using the threat of suicide to deter her from reporting incidents of violence.

«When I mentioned reporting, he would threaten to kill himself,» she confessed, describing what she termed «one of the lowest forms of manipulation that can be exerted on a woman in love.»

Beller dismissed any claims of complicity with the political advisor of far-right figures such as Javier Milei in Argentina, Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil, Rodrigo Paz in Bolivia, and Nasry Asfura in Honduras.

«I did not participate in the events currently under investigation. I was not present at the locations where they allegedly occurred. I did not execute operations. I did not know or have relationships with individuals who may be involved. I received no powers, authority, or instructions to act on behalf of anyone. I was not part of any structure intended to commit crimes or to conceal them. What I know about certain circumstances I know in a referential manner, as it was conveyed to me by Fernando Cerimedo during our relationship, which can be confirmed by the evidence I will present,» she declared.

Furthermore, the attorney confirmed that should she be summoned, she will also appear before Argentine authorities to testify and provide recordings in which Cerimedo revealed details concerning corruption in the administration of Argentine President Javier Milei, particularly regarding the investigation into bribes in the National Disability Agency (ANDIS), which involves alleged kickbacks and inflated prices in drug procurement, implicating officials, intermediaries, and supplier companies.

For now, Beller has been summoned to testify this Wednesday regarding the case opened in La Paz against Fernando Cerimedo for illicit enrichment, as reported by Unitel.
