Two Years After Her Death: Fabiola Flores’ Family Demands Justice for Her Fatal Workplace Accident

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, it will be two years since audiovisual producer Fabiola Flores did not return from work in the mountains, where she served as the first assistant director for the filming of the movie «Single, Married, Widow, Divorced 2» by Tiki Pictures.

On this anniversary of her death, family and friends of the 34-year-old professional have made a heartfelt appeal to uncover the circumstances surrounding her passing and to seek justice against those responsible.

The incident occurred while filming at the El Colorado mountain center, a location owned by Andacor and rented for the film production.

«Around 6 PM on that August 29, 2024, we were informed that Fabiola had suffered a severe fall and was being transported by ambulance to San Carlos de Apoquindo Clinic,» her friends recount the events from two years ago.

«As we rushed to meet her, Fa fought for her life inside an ambulance escorted by police,» they add.

The fall caused significant bleeding and resulted in two cardiac arrests before reaching the emergency room. What followed was sheer agony: endless hours, medical updates, tears, more tears, anger—so much anger, silence—and finally, after five days in anguish, an inevitable outcome.

Negligences

The family indicates that over time, «key information came to light to understand what happened.»

They allege that the young professional «was not adequately informed or trained by Tiki Pictures—her employer—and by Andacor, regarding the risks associated with working in high mountain conditions.»

Furthermore, they claim that her job responsibilities were not clearly defined in her employment contract. Another critical finding was that the snowcat vehicle, rented by Andacor and driven by one of its employees, was not designed for transporting individuals on the outside, a detail that was never communicated by either Andacor or Tiki Pictures as specified in the vehicle’s operation manual.

Additionally, the platform used to transport Fabiola Flores and other workers did not match the vehicle’s original configuration: it had been modified for this purpose by Andacor itself. The family emphasized, «All of this ultimately triggered the tragedy.»

Fines and Sanctions

In this context, the Health Ministry sanctioned both Tiki Pictures and Andacor with fines of 1,000 UTM each, the maximum health penalty applicable in this case. Tiki Pictures also received an additional two fines from the Labor Department.

Currently, there are three ongoing legal proceedings aimed at determining the respective responsibilities: «While all this unfolds, we have had to learn to live with her absence, the questions, the legal processes, and the hope that justice will finally prevail,» expressed Fabiola’s family.

«Today we want her name to continue shining, because that’s who Fa was: a smile that never faded. A little light in the darkest nights when you needed it most. So many conversations were left unspoken. So many dreams remained asleep. So many birthday candles were saved. We want those responsible to answer for their actions before the law. And let her story serve to ensure that no one else has to die doing their job,» the family stated.

«For now, we continue to wait for that welcoming embrace. Because the passage of time does not make an avoidable death acceptable,» they concluded.
