Chilean Metal Band Antar Releases New Album «En Vakuo»: The Final Chapter of a Trilogy Defined by Crisis, Reflection, and Overcoming Challenges

Chilean extreme metal band Antar makes a powerful return with «En Vakuo,» their highly anticipated third studio album. This record completes the cycle that began with Tagïgo (2016) and Dronita (2019), solidifying their most aggressive, chaotic, and ambitious work to date.

With this release, Antar finalizes a conceptual trilogy inspired by the Esperanto phrase Tagïgo dronita en vakuo (dawn drowned in emptiness), creating an auditory journey that navigates various emotions and mental states.

Through six powerful compositions, the album explores internal conflict as a route to transformation, guiding listeners from despair to determination.

The first part of the album portrays crisis through tracks like ‘Quimera,’ ‘Asfixia,’ and ‘La Conquista del Mundo,’ where themes of rage, emotional turmoil, and confrontation take center stage.

Subsequently, ‘Grietas’ and ‘Ánima’ guide the narrative into a realm of introspection and contemplation, paving the way for ‘Desde el Vacío,’ a composition that embodies the will to act and transform reality in response to adversity.

More than just a conceptual album, «En Vakuo» offers an experience divided into three acts that interact with one another. Each song plays a crucial role within the narrative, leading the listener from emotional collapse to a reflective process that ultimately culminates in overcoming challenges, reinforcing the notion that even in emptiness, a new starting point can be found.

The album was recorded at Torque Recs by Victoria Cordero, mixed by Sebastián Puente, and mastered by Chalo González. Its visual identity was crafted by Valentina de Sinis-Tudor, a tattoo artist and illustrator responsible for the entire graphic universe that has accompanied Antar since their inception.
