Original article: Santiago: La Furia Ilustrada convocó a 32 mil personas y aumentó su público en un 130%
With an impressive attendance of 32,000 over three days, La Furia Ilustrada successfully concluded its second edition at the Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral (GAM).
This year’s event saw a remarkable 130% increase in visitors compared to last year’s edition, solidifying its position as a gathering space for artists, publishers, independent projects, and enthusiasts of books, illustration, and graphic arts.

Book Signings and Meetings with Notable Artists
One of the highlights of this edition was the strong turnout for book signings and activities featuring both national and international authors. A standout was Russian illustrator and visual artist Anton Gudim, creator of Yes, But, whose sessions captivated a large audience.
His discussion alongside Chilean illustrator Maliki attracted a packed venue, and his book signings extended for several hours.
Gudim’s participation was among the key milestones of this edition, which also featured prominent figures from the Chilean illustration and graphic arts community, such as Fernanda Frick, Saikomic, Sol Díaz, Malaimagen, Alejandra Acosta, Saraly Gute, Fabián Rivas, Isabel Hojas, Amanda López, Claudio Romo, and Alejandro “Mono” González, among others.
The fair also included workshops and activities geared towards children and families, in addition to opportunities for students and professionals in the industry to explore various techniques and reflect on the challenges of illustration as a profession.

La Furia de Verano Scheduled for December at GAM
Following the success of this edition, La Furia del Libro is already planning another event to wrap up the year: La Furia del Libro – Summer, set to take place from December 17 to 20 at the Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral (GAM).
“For four days, this new version will once again gather creators, publishers, and independent projects around books, inviting everyone to discover new works, support authors, and enjoy a cultural program tailored to diverse audiences. More details about the program and activities for La Furia de Verano will be announced soon,” organizers stated.
