Endémica Magazine Celebrates 7 Years of Cultural Journalism from Maule
In October 2026, Endémica Magazine marks seven years of continuous work in promoting culture and the arts from the Maule Region, specifically from the city of Linares.
During this time, the digital platform has developed a cultural journalism space dedicated to understanding the creators in Maule, narrating their processes, and bringing their works closer to audiences both within and outside the region.
Its trajectory reflects an ongoing necessity: the need for communication spaces that showcase the diversity of regional creation and ensure its public presence.
“Behind every concert, exhibition, work, or launch are searches, stories, and individuals whose efforts deserve attention beyond the date of an event,” state representatives from Endémica.
Series and Podcasts
Since its inception in 2019, Endémica Magazine has explored various stories through journalistic articles, interviews, photographic coverage, and audiovisual productions.
Additionally, the series Creadoras and Joyas del Maule, along with podcasts about music and visual arts, as well as different interview sections, have allowed the public to connect with artistic trajectories and expressions that coexist in the region, while also contributing to documenting the cultural activity in Maule.
“We are interested in telling culture through the people who make it possible,” says Claudia Araya, director and founder of Endémica Magazine.
“A song, a piece, or a concert does not come from nowhere: there are stories, searches, challenges, spaces, and communities behind it. This year we have placed special emphasis on music, but our focus remains cultural. We want to understand what the artists of Maule are creating and invite other creators from different places to share their experiences,” Araya added.

Radar Endémica
One of the main initiatives in this regard is Radar Endémica, a video podcast that combines conversations and live music sessions.
Hosted by Yosi Freire and Claudia Araya, the series has featured projects like Río Río, Prehistöricos, Perdidos, Javiera Electra, and The Sonoramas, creating a space to learn about their journeys, influences, and music-making processes.
This initiative is complemented by Maulinxs por el Mundo, a section that shares the experiences of musicians and cultural agents linked to the region who are developing their work in other countries.
These interviews cover topics such as training, circulation, and musical professionalization, connecting the trajectories that link Maule to other scenes.
Recent journalistic coverage has accompanied artists at various moments in their projects. Among the recent content are the first performance of Candelabro in Talca and the participation of the local band LYRA; the concert by Lúcida, the project of Linares artist Yosi Freire, which opened for Camila Moreno; and the Pablo de Rokha Festival in Iloca.
Additionally, interviews with Aetora, Depresalia, and Negro Chalo expand this exploration of the proposals shaping the regional scene.
