Original article: Santiago: Grupo Entrama presenta su nuevo espectáculo en Matucana 100
On Sunday, May 17, at 7 PM, the Main Theater of the Matucana 100 Cultural Center will host Entrama, a renowned Chilean musical collective celebrated for its fusion of Latin American influences and rich instrumental diversity.
Regarding the new show, band leader Juan Antonio Chicuria Sánchez stated, «We will have two special guests, Elizabeth Morris and José Seves. Just imagine how excited we are, working on new arrangements and meticulously honing our instruments to deliver the best for you all. Even if the world falls apart, music will always lift us up!».
Entrama draws inspiration from folklore, popular music, jazz, and classical music. Their work focuses on instrumental compositions that blend Latin American rhythms and sounds with contemporary musical techniques.
Their proposal is categorized within the World Music genre, noted for a sonic exploration that balances tradition and modernity. Through their unique musical language, the ensemble creates a «sound fabric» where various influences coexist, crafting an experience that resonates with the continent’s cultural history from a contemporary perspective.
According to music critics, the group has been recognized as a project aimed at «discerning listeners,» able to articulate musical complexity without losing touch with popular appeal. At this intersection, the group offers a focused listening experience where each instrument plays a crucial role in constructing a common narrative.
This concert at Matucana 100 provides an opportunity to engage with one of the most consistent proposals in the Latin American fusion scene in Chile, delivered in a live format that values interpretation, improvisation, and collective effort.
