Santiago’s ICTUS Theatre Launches New Intimate Concert Series Featuring Diverse Musical Genres and International Sounds

Two years ago, Teatro ICTUS introduced the «Intimate ICTUS» series, expanding its artistic offerings within the Sala la Comedia to explore the connections between music and theatre.

«The unique and irreplaceable experience that has developed between the bands and their audiences is something we want to continue enriching our lineup with,» ICTUS representatives stated, unveiling an exciting musical agenda for May and June:

Antonio Monasterio Ensamble: «For the first time, we welcome one of the most innovative and refreshing bands from Chile and southern regions, known for mastering the art of simplicity through complexity, delivering beautiful and unique sounds through a complex musical exploration based on timbres, rhythms, and metrics. Antonio Monasterio Ensamble offers an intense and profound musical experience that renews our understanding of jazz and world music.»

During this concert, the band will showcase its recent repertoire along with an exclusive preview of their upcoming album «Haruki», which explores intersections between contemporary jazz and various sound influences, deepening into new textures, collective dynamics, and spaces for improvisation.

Prehistóricos: «This Chilean indie pop band, formed in Santiago over 15 years ago, is known for its melodic sound, nostalgic lyrics, and a sensitive aesthetic linked to Latin American alternative pop. After two sold-out performances in our venue in 2024, they return with the launch of their new album ‘Rosal’, where love, loss, and desire coexist like a dark and vibrant garden. In this concert, the band bids farewell to Chile before their tour in Peru and Mexico.»

Ruzzi (Mexico): «Marian Ruzzi is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, producer, and singer from Mexico. ICTUS will host one of the most interesting artists in the current Latin American scene, who arrives with a close and special concert, traversing her musical universe marked by sonic experimentation, pop sensitivity, and a very distinctive artistic identity.»

Nominated for Best New Artist at the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards, she has collaborated with renowned figures in Latin music such as Natalia Lafourcade, Ximena Sariñana, Esteman, and RBD.
