Amid favorable opinion polls for the Democrats, U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed his pledge to distribute $5,000 checks to every adult citizen if the Republicans secure victory and retain control of the House of Representatives and Senate in the upcoming midterm elections this November.

Through a series of videos shared on his social media platforms, the far-right leader urged Americans to head to the polls on November 3, asking for support as if his name were on the ballot, despite the fact that this is a legislative election.

The Republican mogul encouraged voters to cast their ballots in any way they prefer, whether it be early voting, mail-in voting, or voting in person.

«This is one of the most important elections of our lives,» he stated, emphasizing the necessity of voting for Republicans «so we can defeat the radical left Democrats in a midterm victory.»

«In this election, I ask you to pretend I’m on the ballot. I may not be on the ballot, but act like I am, because this is a significant matter. This is the most crucial midterm election that has ever existed. We have communists, we have socialists, we have horrible people on the other side. We need to win,» asserted the far-right leader.

«Get out and vote and make America great again. The fact is, we did better than ever, and we can do even better than that,» he emphasized.

In another video, he reiterated his promise to deliver a $5,000 check to every adult in the United States if Republican candidates win the midterm elections, preventing Democrats from taking control of Congress.

«If Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate, I’m going to give all adult citizens in America, $5,000! Republicans can do it, and Democrats cannot. Because we are getting a massive amount of money through tariffs and an economy that is breaking records,» the President stated, echoing claims made weeks prior.

According to Trump, the United States «is doing very well under Republican leadership,» warning that if Democrats win in November, the nation could face an economic crisis akin to that of 1929.

The promise of checks comes just one month before the November legislative elections, where surveys suggest a challenging outlook for Republicans.

Polls Favor Democrats in Midterm Elections

According to surveys conducted by Reuters/Ipsos and Economist/YouGov, Democrats are leading in congressional voting intentions and aim to regain control of the House of Representatives and even contest the Senate.

Simultaneously, there is a significant decline in the image and perception of the far-right leader. A Reuters/Ipsos poll released at the end of September revealed that Trump’s approval rating stands at 32%, the lowest of his political career, including both terms as president, while 65% of respondents disapprove of his management in the White House.

In this context, Trump warned that Democrats would seek to push for an impeachment against him, while his advisers anticipate inquiries related to alleged corruption.
