In an interview with Xanadu Radio, Supernova members Constanza Lewin and Constanza Luer addressed the current scrutiny from certain political sectors regarding women’s rights, particularly focusing on abortion rights. They emphasized that such discussions attempt to reopen issues that should already be resolved.

During the conversation, the artists were asked about the current political climate and the emerging concerns surrounding gender-based violence and other women’s rights issues. Their response was clear: «I believe there are topics that should not be debated,» they stated, questioning the rationale behind giving a platform to individuals who, in their view, deny the reality of gender violence.

In that context, one of the Supernova members expressed her disinterest in engaging in discussions with those who hold such views: «I don’t want to talk to fools, I don’t want to engage with machitos,» she asserted, adding that such discourse should be relegated to an «absolute irrelevance.»

Women’s Rights Are Not Debatable

One of the most poignant moments of the interview arose when the discussion shifted to abortion and women’s rights.

At this juncture, one of the members stated, «Women’s rights are not debatable topics. No feasible debate exists,» directly questioning the necessity of continuing discussions about the legitimacy of these rights.

«What are we even discussing? Whether women’s rights exist or not?» she asked, delivering one of the most impactful remarks of the interview: «If they could take it away, they would. That’s what’s dangerous.»
