Silvio Caiozzi highlighted the crucial role this festival plays in the internationalization of Chilean cinema: "It is the only Chilean festival that can present films for the Oscars and Goya Awards. This deserves applause, as cinema needs to reach out and connect with as many people as possible," said Caiozzi, who will showcase "The Old Man and the Cuckoo Clock," an intimate work born during the pandemic and starring the great Ramón Núñez, a National Arts Award winner.
