Generally speaking, historical denialism consists of discursive, practical, political, communicative, legal, cultural, and educational operations that publicly deny genocides and crimes against humanity supported by historical evidence. Moreover, denialism has a very concrete purpose that aims to evade the legal and political responsibilities of the perpetrators.

Cardinal Chomalí's perspective situates violence as an issue of individual will or failures within the family unit. However, authors such as Slavoj Žižek in his book On Violence differentiate between 'subjective' violence, like that witnessed in schools, and 'objective' or systemic violence. The latter type is the invisible violence that is inherent to the operation of our economic and social system, creating conditions of precariousness.

Herrera's issue is not merely personal; it poses a public harm. By invoking Kant to critique the left while endorsing someone who violates all that Kant stands for, Herrera corrupts the public discourse, misleading his readers into believing that one can be Kantian and vote for Kast—an inherently contradictory stance.

Just as Gabriela Mistral is portrayed as the mother of Chile and a writer of nursery rhymes, the literary canon has pigeonholed Brunet as the spinster aunt who recounted stories to other people’s children... Fortunately, for decades, researchers and academics have been dismantling that image.

Serious violence does not originate at the school's entrance. It does not begin when someone crosses a threshold with a weapon. In the Palestinian context, Netanyahu's ideological language is not perceived as a simple historical metaphor, but as an explicit justification for the oppressive system imposed upon the Palestinian people. Practically, this means presenting siege, confiscation, collective punishment, and disproportionate violence as harsh, yet supposedly necessary measures.

The Israeli Federation has recently been sanctioned by FIFA due to racism seen in its stadiums, where chants like 'we will burn your village' and 'death to the Arabs' are common. This punishment is rather minimal compared to the charges related to the inclusion of Israeli colonial teams in Palestine and incitement to genocide.

As the Executive branch announces the reversal of the expropriation process concerning Colonia Dignidad's lands to implement reparative and memorial policies, the Third Chamber of the Court of Appeals affirms a conviction for covering up kidnappings in the same location.

If they want to open backpacks, then they should also uncover the financial secrecy that conceals organized crime. If they want to check backpacks, they should examine examples of world leaders, officials where the use of weapons, war rhetoric, and denialism that questions human rights are part of their ideological agenda.

The political moment is ripe. Kast's government may further wear down, and quickly. This is a plausible scenario. However, the opportunity will be squandered if the left remains entangled in its internal squabbles.
