The IV CELAC–EU Summit in Santa Marta, Colombia, adopted a 52-point declaration emphasizing the region's status as a peace zone and reinforcing multilateralism as a means to tackle global crises. The summit saw participation from 2,500 delegates and the announcement of new investment and cooperation projects.

"If we stop the atrocities of capitalism in the forests and tropical jungles, we will be protecting humanity," stated Honduran President Xiomara Castro during her address at the COP30 leaders' summit, where she called for a "liberation" of the planet from "abuse and selfishness."

The Mexican Foreign Ministry stated that the Peruvian Parliament's action against President Sheinbaum is "motivated by false claims" and reiterated that they have not intervened in any way "in Peru's internal affairs, adhering faithfully to their normative principles of foreign policy and solid diplomatic tradition."

With visible enthusiasm, Argentina's President shared a screenshot of the fabricated news, featuring a logo resembling that of Clarín, along with a celebratory "VAAAAAAAAMOOOOOO." However, after several users pointed out the falsity, he quickly deleted the post.

"Humanity needs to build an economy without oil, gas, or coal," stated the Colombian leader, who assured that "with $500 billion we can generate 1,400 gigawatts of clean energy annually in Latin America and completely clean the energy matrix of the U.S. (...) We can clean the energy matrix of all America, even that of the U.S., without needing Trump."

This gathering aims to promote greater political engagement within the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), from a perspective that is popular, democratic, sovereign, inclusive, anti-patriarchal, and environmental, with both national and international implications.

At the plenary session of the climate summit in Brazil, Boric defended scientific evidence and directly challenged Donald Trump for denying the climate crisis.

Martín Angerosa from the Argentine Disarmament Network (RAD) warned that these types of military-grade weapons can fire bursts of bullets, emphasizing that a primary outcome of this measure will be that "the guns that criminal organizations used to have to seek from military barracks will now be sourced directly from civilians' homes." He called attention to Brazil's experience under Bolsonaro, where gun market liberalization led to a spike in femicides and incidents of gunfire in schools and public spaces.

President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, filed a complaint against her aggressor, stating, "because it is a crime, and if this happens to the president, what could happen to any woman?" Additionally, she accused a newspaper of revictimization for publishing images of the harassment incident.

As Pro Tempore President of CELAC, Colombia is leading the meeting of National Coordinators for the Latin American and Caribbean bloc, advancing negotiations on the Declaration that will outline the political and bi-regional cooperation roadmap to be presented during the IV CELAC–EU Summit on November 9 and 10.
