Argentinian teacher federations have called for a week-long national strike in opposition to the lack of execution of the law ensuring funding for the sector. They warned that, without its full implementation, the 2026 academic cycle will not begin.

The former Colombian president and ex-UNASUR secretary denounced "improper interventions by foreign governments and presidents that undermine the sovereignty and the right of the Honduran people to choose their next president."

Rixi Moncada called to stay "on your feet" until 100% of the ballots are counted and urged vigilance in the election scrutiny in Honduras, amid allegations of foreign interference and the open support of Donald Trump for candidate Nasry Asfura.

Honduran Vice Chancellor of Foreign Policy Gerardo Torres responded to Trump's statements, emphasizing that Hernández "is guilty, and the forgiveness offered by the U.S. President does not make him innocent." The former president was sentenced in 2024 to 45 years in prison in the U.S. for smuggling "tons of cocaine" into the country.

The publication emphasized that the alleged traffickers "do not pose an imminent threat of attack against the U.S. and are not, as the Trump administration has attempted to argue, in an 'armed conflict' with the U.S., therefore, "since there is no legitimate war between both parties, killing any of the men on the boats amounts to murder," stated Todd Huntley, a former military lawyer for U.S. Special Operations Forces.

"For decades, we have supported the right to self-determination for peoples. That is, for peoples to freely choose their path without impositions from foreign forces," declared the Colombian president after meeting with the Sahrawi Ambassador to Latin America and the Caribbean, Mohamed Zrug.

"Donald Trump is not only irregularly intervening in Honduras' presidential elections, but he does so by backing candidate Nasry Asfura of the National Party of Honduras, whose leader (Juan Orlando Hernández) is currently in U.S. custody on drug trafficking charges," the organization stated.

The social movement in Panama reiterated its challenges to Washington's strategy, stating that "to justify a potential aggression against Venezuela, then Colombia, Mexico, and others, it resorts to a fictitious Cartel of the Suns, a recurrent ruse used by US administrations since 1990 and which Trump has adopted to implicate the Bolivarian Government as a narco-state, even though the UN has declared that the country plays no significant role in international drug trafficking."

Even U.S. government data contradicts Abrams' narrative. Reports from the DEA and UNODC have long shown that the vast majority of cocaine destined for U.S. consumers originates in Colombia and travels by the Pacific, not through Venezuela. Washington knows this. But the fiction of a 'Venezuelan narco-route' is politically convenient...

The Libre presidential candidate assured that the Honduran right-wing will be defeated in the general elections next Sunday.
