It is essential to set aside minor tactical differences to advance the establishment of a shared strategy. We must strengthen our commonalities and recognize that there is something greater than our egos: the historical necessity for unity to dismantle capitalism, particularly its aggressive current forms.

The declaration that "Chile is bankrupt"—quickly recanted—forms part of a strategy known to large economic powers: using crises to impose reforms benefiting big capital while attempting to govern by decree in a state of emergency, without consulting or seeking consensus with citizens or legislatures. Meanwhile, a "neoliberalized progressivism" leans toward defending the "model."

Independent Deputy Roberto Celedón has condemned Housing Minister Iván Poduje for halting the expropriation of Colonia Dignidad, emphasizing that "victims must not be ignored."

Giorgio Jackson has denied claims made by Minister José García Ruminot, stating that the fuel price hike under José Antonio Kast's government did not require changes to the law.

The uproar over rising fuel prices and living costs in Chile continues to intensify. Congressman Daniel Manouchehri has challenged Finance Minister Jorge Quiroz, demanding his resignation and accusing him of causing a national crisis. He questions the government's decision to shift costs onto citizens while simultaneously proposing tax cuts for the wealthy.

The fuel crisis sparks a nationwide uproar among workers, raising serious concerns about Kast's government. Polls reveal a historic drop in approval ratings: disapproval rises by 30 points. Social media fills with regretful voters as demonstrators make their voices heard. Unfulfilled promises and measures absent during the election campaign are now under scrutiny.

Senate President Paulina Núñez (RN) criticized the government's handling of communication amid rising fuel prices, warning about effects on legislative discussions. Experts like Ignacio Briones and Juan Carvajal questioned the term "bankrupt state" and the lack of coordination. The Executive defended its actions, asserting it "does not fall apart."

"No serious economist from any sector has recommended eliminating the Mepco in practice, especially not all at once," stated the senator, pointing out that "while families face avoidable price hikes, Kast's government is pushing to eliminate taxes on capital gains and lighten the burden on large companies. Thus, the fiscal adjustment ultimately falls on those who have the least," he warned.

Former UDI deputy Joaquín Lavín León is facing serious charges from the Public Ministry, including tax fraud, forgery of public instruments, and influence peddling.

Lawmakers express concerns over the significant impact on cost of living and propose annulment of decrees responsible for the fuel price hike.
