Legislator warned that the climate of political revenge established by some right-wing sectors is jeopardizing essential state programs and obligations to the country's population.

For the candidate, this is a "regrettable situation because I would like to see Chile combat organized crime not only by pursuing those who sell little packets of drugs on the corner but also by going after the big fish, and the Chilean right has repeatedly refused to do that."

PS legislators announced they will report the events to the Prosecutor's Office and called out presidential candidate José Antonio Kast due to his close ties with Republican Deputy Cristian Araya, who allegedly received a $1.7 million payment from property conservator Sergio Yáber, a key figure in the "Belarus Doll" case, as part of a political operation aimed at damaging their public image.

The information arises from a tapped phone call by OS7 of Carabineros. According to Ciper, Deputy Cristián Araya is the brother of Carolina Araya, chief of staff for José Antonio Kast and one of his closest advisors since the candidate began his presidential campaign.

In addition to various initiatives, the presidential candidate also introduced a national oncology plan, zero down payment for housing, sports initiatives, and a salary cap of 5 million pesos gross monthly for political appointees.

In an interview with La Mañanera, Jaime Lorca, director of the Memory and Future Foundation, expressed concern over the slow pace of the Colonia Dignidad expropriation process announced by President Gabriel Boric: "As of now, they have not done practically anything. They are suffering from frustrating bureaucratic slowness; to date, they haven't even designated the appraisers needed to assess the area of Colonia Dignidad," he accused.

Meanwhile, recently elected senator from the Broad Front, Diego Ibáñez, remarked that "Kast appointed as his economic chief a defender of the pharmacies convicted of collusion, an advisor to the companies implicated in the chicken collusion. That should be headline news across all media... The next Minister of Finance cannot be a collaborator and planner of collusions," stated the current deputy.

Even though Kast repeats ten times that it is not true, and avoids the questions posed to him, the fact is that both in the chicken case and in the pharmacies case (...) it was determined that Jorge Quiroz was involved in the collusion, which was stated by the Competition Court," reiterated the former minister.
