A group of opposition lawmakers has submitted a request to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), asking it to comment on the constitutional reform project related to security proposed by President José Antonio Kast, which they categorize as a "constitutional authoritarian regime" that centralizes power in the Executive and undermines fundamental rights.

The victim was detained in San Bernardo in October 1974 and taken to the DINA clandestine detention center known as 'Ollagüe,' located on José Domingo Cañas street (Ñuñoa). There, she was confined and interrogated about her spouse's activities and whereabouts, enduring illegal coercion such as beatings, cigarette burns, strip searches, and electric shocks.

This challenge adds to the complaint filed in 2025 by Manouchehri and Cicardini with the Public Ministry concerning alleged harassment networks, misinformation, and coordinated accounts linked to the Republican Party, which sought to investigate potential cybercrimes, criminal associations, or other offenses tied to digital campaigns against political opponents.

Both instruments have completed the main stages of their regulatory processing and were approved by the Ministerial Council for Sustainability and Climate Change. Kast took office.

Patricio Löhr, who also serves as president of the Regional Supreme Tribunal of the Republican Party, has been accused of potential breaches of integrity, influence peddling, and incompatible negotiations by officials from the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics. Following these allegations, regional presidential delegate Cristian Sayes Maldonado stated, "As a government, we are taking appropriate actions in such situations. Therefore, his resignation has already been requested."
