The Fourth Oral Criminal Court in Santiago has sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment for femicide, highlighting the severity of the violence inflicted and the state's obligation to act with a gender and intersectionality approach, in accordance with the Belém do Pará Convention.

An investigation by CIPE has revealed that following the review of the performance report of the suspended land registrar of Puente Alto, drafted by a visiting judge, several ministers at the San Miguel court expressed their inclination to rate him poorly, potentially triggering his dismissal from the position.

The La Moneda hopeful stated, "There is an AI-generated audio where, supposedly, I mistreat people and claim I will take advantage of them. That is completely false. It was made to deceive."

The court dismissed the defense's claim that the events were a result of collective panic stemming from an alleged unfounded report.

Minister Simpertigue is currently under investigation by the prosecutor's office, which has initiated a formal inquiry into his travels and connections associated with the 'Belarusian Plot,' an investigation focused on potential corruption within the Judicial Power that may have caused significant financial harm to the state-owned enterprise Codelco.

The OTJ has requested the removal of Minister Simpertigue due to serious allegations, including shared trips, undisclosed connections, participation in rulings of significant economic impact, and closeness to attorneys Eduardo Lagos and Mario Vargas—both implicated in bribery—that undermine public trust in the judiciary and affect the institutional legitimacy of the Judicial Power.

The legal action has been endorsed by over 1,000 affected individuals. "This lawsuit is not symbolic: it sets a historic precedent. It is the first time a whole community has organized, researched, documented, and held such large companies accountable for a century of environmental damage and its impact on human health," the plaintiffs stated in a release.

Between 2022 and 2024, reports of child sexual exploitation increased by 73%, particularly affecting female adolescents aged 14 to 17 years. The agency warns of an expanding structural issue and calls for stronger prevention, prosecution, and specialized protection measures.

The operations, expected to last for a week, have seen the participation of victim families who closely monitor the work led by the visiting minister: "We are looking for our comrades who were executed, we must find them. It’s important that the State is now taking responsibility for the harm caused to our relatives, so it is time for the State to execute this Search Plan," stated representatives from the Group of Families.

The investigation began in May after it was publicly revealed that seven doctors working at the Family Health Center (Cesfam) and rural posts in Pemuco, along with three public service doctors from the Ñuble, O'Higgins, and Metropolitan regions, had submitted sick leave permits issued among themselves.
